A-A-A-Annie and the Jets

Josh and I went for a nice Sunday drive on the old Mission Trail! We found lots of awesome places to take pictures, so I hope you don't mind a jillion pictures of me and Josh!**
I love a good piece of rotten, peeling wood. Throw some rusty metal in there, and I'm in texture/color heaven! Seriously.

(dress: modcloth; necklaces and belt: vintage, thrifted; shoes: modcloth)

"Tienda de Ropa" means "Clothing Store" in Spanish. I wonder what kind of clothes they used to sell before it became overran with cacti!

I absolutely love this random airplane boneyard! The first time we came across it, we were just driving around, and bam! Airplanes! Of course we had to come back with our good camera and get some shots!

Josh tried to bring an airplane home with us. Poor husband, it didn't work.

Pretty weird sign inside this airplane...Do you have any idea what it might mean? We think it's something like, "in the time it takes you to have coffee/tea, or plane will get you to Cuba" or something. What do you think?

I think this is my new favorite picture of us. Maybe one for the Christmas card this year?

Yes, please rescue me! I love the tiny little yellow airplane.

What a cute husband, always willing to take pictures! And no, he's not missing a tooth. It's a weird shadow...

But sometimes he DOES pretend he's a lizard, soaking up the sun's rays.

Bored yet? A little? Ok, I'll wrap it up!

Somehow, the ONE mosquito alive in El Paso decide to bite me FIVE times! I get really bad allergic reactions to mosquitoes, and they swell up to the size of baseballs. No exaggerating.

Hope y'all had a good weekend, and a great Mother's Day! See ya soon, macaroons!

**Be honest, do you like posts with a lot of pictures, or is it just annoying? I know this post has TONS of them, and not everyone will be like this, but I think I'd like to include more pictures overall. Plus, when I come across an awesome place like this, I want to share it with y'all!

  1. I love all these pictures, this place is so amazing and such a lucky find! I'm jealous I feel like there is nothing cool like this by me.

Oh and my boyfriend freaked out (literally) before when I tried to show him these thinking you were me......I don't really see it other than the hair but I thought it was funny.

& the back of that dress is to die for, so pretty!

  2. I love all of the pictures. You two are adorable. I really like the last couple picture a lot...if only he were looking at the camera.

P.S. That dress is super cute on you.

  3. I'm so jealous! There is nothing like that where I live! Right by house, there's a little airport for small planes and businesses and stuff, but that's where the 9/11 terrorists got trained, so that's no fun.

Anyway, cute dress, and I don't mind the pictures. If it's a lot of pictures of the same background and same pose, it's like "?", but yours are good.

  10. How fun!!! Those photos are so cute, I would have loved to explore that place! I was intrigued by that sticker too...So I had to look it up :) From what I read, it's some sort of stewardess joke about a hijacking in the 1970s. Weird!

  11. i love posts with lots of pictures...especially of all the neat places that you get to explore. the picture in front of the blue background looks perfect against your blog background!

i will say that this set was a little large, and i had a hard time seeing the whole picture in my teeny 13"...maybe size them down just a little bit?

  12. I have to agree with the lovely ladies so far and say BRING ON THE PHOTOS! Darling this is your show, and you call the shots. I'm a text whore, this is true, but I enjoy the voyeuristic peek into your life as well. Not to mention, that peach color is flippin divine on your skin.
