An Oklahoman Birthday!

Sunday was Josh's 27th birthday! I am so glad I got to fly out to spend it with him.
We started the day by eating some of the tastiest brunch we've ever had! The restaurant was way fancier than we expected: lots of different forks, a new cocktail napkin under our glass every time they refiled our waters, teeny tiny (but delicious) appetizers...you know the kind.
After brunch, we drove out to a nearby lake to walk it off!

It was so nice to see water and green trees!

Part of my present to Josh was a pair of tickets to see Prairie Home Companion at the Oregon Zoo this summer! Yup, we love talk radio and listen to PHC every weekend. We're super excited to go!

After lake time, it was nap time! We needed to get rested up, because my next surprise for Josh was to take him to a horse racing track to do some betting! Neither of us had been to a horse race before, and it was so fun!


This is the horse we bet on. We had no idea what we were doing, and definitely lost money, but it was so fun! We did a little more hanging out at the casino upstairs, which made Josh happy, in case you couldn't tell.

I love this man! I'm super excited to get back home and throw a big huge barbeque with all our friends to celebrate Josh's birthday again!
