At our appointment, we were able to hear our baby's tiny little heart beat! It took a long time to find, since I have an extremely strong pulse in my stomach (sometimes when I am lying on my back, I can see my tummy move up and down with my pulse. It's weird.). Once the midwife found it, we couldn't believe our ears! The little heart was beating super super fast, at about 170 beats/minute! It was absolutely surreal to be listening to a life beating inside my body.

Can I let you in on a little secret? When you are not quite ready for maternity clothes, but can't button your pants...use a rubber band! Of course, make sure you wear a long top to cover up your funny fastener.

This blouse I am wearing is one of my most special articles of clothing. I found it at the Goodwill bins, and it cost me about $0.25, but it's been with me through lots of great moments. I was wearing this blouse when Josh proposed to me...for the second time! Yeah, we were engaged twice! I can explain it later, if you care to know more. Anyway, I love the pattern of this blouse, the breezy fabric, and the cute sleeve detail. I'll definitely never get rid of it, I feel great each time I put it on.

Most of the changes in my body are taking some getting used to, but I am LOVING what pregnancy is doing to my skin! I never wear what I call "face makeup," (i.e. concelear, foundation, powder, blush) because I don't know what to do with it. I finally threw away a broken up container of blush I've had for about three years! Though I've felt comfortable in my bare skin for the most part, never as much as I do now! Thanks, baby!
