A pretty collar

Thanks for all the congrats, you guys! We are so excited about our little boy, and it feels so much more real now, knowing it's a little dude.
I wore this dress in this post, and lots of people commented on the collar and print. I'm glad you think it's cute, because I wasn't exaggerating when I said I have about 6 dresses that fit me, and I keep rotating them every day. I wear this dress at [the very] least once a week! I found it at a thrift store, of course, and hemmed the length and the sleeves. I really love it, and I think I'll try to take it in after I have the baby so I can wear it when I'm back to my normal size. It was really raining when we took these pictures, but what else is new in Portland?

(dress: vintage, thrifted; necklace: vintage, thrifted; tights: dkny; shoes: nine west, thrifted)

We are nearing the end of our summer crops, and our household is overrun with tomatoes right now. We have lots of buckets of them sitting around the house, in our fridge, on our counters, and on the porch. We still have about 70ish tomatoes to harvest, so I need to make some delicious soups and sauce to can and some to freeze!

Our strawberries never quite produced but every once in a while we get a cute little one. They're tiny, but Josh still approves of their deliciousness.

This weekend, I'm off to buy some fall and winter crops, and I can't wait to switch gears in to Fall! I even found some super cute coats that will fit my belly at a thrift store today. Now we just wait for the leaves to fall...

-I am SO jealous of your garden.

    -Josh is a major cutie

-You look flippin' adorable!! That dress really is perfect, and I love that you paired it with those wine colored tights.

  5. aww you're going to be so thrilled when you can fit back in your old clothes again. I did a mistake of selling all my clothes while pregnant and then I had nothing to wear after having my boys other than bigger stuff. It was a pain. Hope you won't go through that! It is soooo worth holding your little boy though in the end ;) hooray!!

  6. The navy dress and plum tights look great together. I need to get some plum tights to wear with my navy dresses now.

  7. I've always thought Josh looked familiar but I could never put my finger on it, but now I know! Gerard Butler! They could pass as brothers!

& this dress is so adorable, & very versatile! I'm sure you will think of plenty of ways to style it as the weather gets cooler! Perhaps pair it with a skirt, so you can just see the blouse, or wear it as a skirt with a sweater over top, with cardigans, different colored tights, etc.! Luckily you are handy with a sewing machine so I'm sure you won't have much trouble finding other dresses to hem up!
