My "little" brother graduated on Thursday. I can't believe it! I remember when I used to hold him like I hold Jacob, change his diaper (now that's embarassing for him!), and put him in his little crib. I'd walk him to preschool before making my way to middle school, and listen to his stories on our walk back home. Now he's an incredible young man that I am so proud of! We also went to my "baby" sister's middle school choir concert last week, and I couldn't get over how grown up she is. I looked after my siblings so much when they were little, and they called me "Mommy #2." They're my little babies, and it blows my mind that one day Jacob will be their age. I hope he is just the kind of awesome, well rounded, and loveing kid that my brother and sister are!

Jacob is so stinkin' cute (and looks just like his mama!)
ReplyDeleteThat picture of your dad with the babe is just so precious.

ReplyDeleteLooooovely Annie, I am the eldest of 5 kids and can relate to your story of helping to raise the siblings. There is 7 yrs between me and my youngest brother - i remember feeding him his puree as a baby..i cannot believe he is like 28 this year! He is still "the baby" to me.

that's so sweet. Makes me wish I had a younger sibling to dote on but sadly I am the baby. It is nice having older siblings. I am sure you are a great one! Congratulations to your brother.
